In this Post We will talk About Malaria. Malaria mostly happen in the development country. Malaria is a female-mosquito-borne infectious disease caused by a eukaryotic protist of the genus Plasmodium. Malaria caused by Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium ovale and Plasmodium malariae causes milder disease in humans that is not generally fatal. Severe malaria is treated with intravenous or intramuscular quinine or, increasingly, the artemisinin derivative artesunate. Several drugs are also available to prevent malaria in travellers to malaria-endemic countries (prophylaxis).
There are some symtomps if somebody got Malaria :
Central:Headache
Systemic : Fever
Muscular : Fatigue, Pain
Back : Pain
Skin : Chills, Sweating
Respiratory : Dry Cough
Spleen : Enlargement
Stomach : Nausea,Vomiting
Modern drugs used include mefloquine (Lariam), doxycycline (available generically), and the combination of atovaquone and proguanil hydrochloride (Malarone). Use of prophylactic drugs is seldom practical for full-time residents of malaria-endemic areas, and their use is usually restricted to short-term visitors and travelers to malarial regions. The use of prophylactic drugs where malaria-bearing mosquitoes are present may encourage the development of partial immunity.
The treatment of malaria depends on the severity of the disease. Uncomplicated malaria is treated with oral drugs. Severe malaria requires the parenteral administration of antimalarial drugs. Active malaria infection with P. falciparum is a medical emergency requiring hospitalization. Treatment of malaria involves supportive measures as well as specific antimalarial drugs.
